Is Brick Quest free?

Yes. Brick Quest is currently a free beta. Sign in with Google or email to get a daily allowance of 20 AI brick scans and 10 AI generations. New photo designs, regenerated previews, regenerated builds and My Bricks builds share the 10 generations, and approving a preview does not use one. A retry uses the same allowance as the original request. The allowance resets at midnight Japan time, and a request counts once it starts, even if it fails or is cancelled.

Do I need to install an app?

No. Brick Quest runs in a modern web browser on a computer, tablet or phone, so there is nothing to download. Create a free account with Google or email to save your brick inventory and designs. The site and app are available in English, Japanese and Korean.

How do I turn a photo into a LEGO® design?

Open Design in the app and upload a photo to generate LEGO-style previews. Approve a preview to create a 3D design draft, step-by-step guidance, and a parts list. Review the shape, actual parts, and connections before building.

How does the design flow work?

Upload a photo to generate LEGO-style previews from several angles. Review and approve them to create a 3D design draft and step-by-step guidance. You can regenerate previews for another interpretation; generation and regeneration are subject to daily limits.

How can I check whether a model can be assembled?

Photo designs and My Bricks builds both go through a software physics check before a result is saved. New photo designs must have no floating or overlapping parts, form one connected structure, have a valid build order and show no weak-point warnings; a draft that fails is not saved as a completed design. My Bricks builds are analyzed for stability, connections and assembly order and may still show warnings. Automatic refinement is limited to three attempts. These are software checks, not proof that a physical build will hold, so check the actual parts, colors, quantities and connections before building.

What is the BrickLink parts list?

It lists parts used in the generated design. Items with a mapped part ID can be exported as XML for BrickLink import. Unmapped parts may be omitted and color information may be missing, so check part IDs, colors, quantities, and seller availability before buying.

What kind of photo works best?

Use a JPEG, PNG or WebP photo with one main subject, good light and a simple background. For brick scans, spread the bricks out on a plain surface so they don't overlap, and take a close, well-lit photo. Results vary by photo, so review what the AI detected.

Does it work with non-LEGO brands?

You can try scanning compatible bricks with standard shapes. Recognition and physical fit can vary by part, photo, and brand, so review the results.

Can I save my digital inventory?

Yes. Bricks added after review are saved to your account for reuse. Compare the saved information with your actual collection before building.
